Served in the USMC and 27 years on the Omaha Police Department.Preceded in death by brothers Irald, Robert, Eugene and sister Donna Haite.Survived by wife Arlene; children Richard Jr. (Susie), Colleen Macdonald (Bob), Michael (Donna), Maureen Mahoney-Conway (Jim), Ronald (Elena) and Jerry; grandchildren Michael Jr., Brian, Kyle, Matt (Carol), Daniel, Derek (Jackie), Keegan, Brigit, Alexis, and Barbara; sister Winnie Kaipust; numerous nieces and nephews.Visitation Friday, September 5th, 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, September 6th, 10:00 a.m. St. Columbkille Catholic Church - Papillion. Interment Calvary Cemetery with Honor Guard provided by the Omaha Police Department. Memorials will directed by the family.
