William J. Dziurawiec, Jr.

William (Bill) John Dziurawiec Jr. passed away on December 20, 2025, after a long battle with cancer. He was born on September 7, 1951, in Sioux City, Iowa.

Bill married the love of his life, Wanda (Stuart) Dziurawiec, on July 11, 1970. Together they raised four children: Danny (Keri), Billy (Susan), Holly (Matt), and Greg (Tiffany). Bill was a proud grandfather to eight grandchildren: Kiersten, Emma, Jake, Makenna, Mia, Allie, Owen, and Matthew. He is survived by his brother, Dave (Sue), and his sisters, Jeanne Humphrey (Richard) and Suzanne Dziurawiec (Malcom Tarrell).

Bill spent much of his professional career climbing the corporate ladder at Sears Roebuck, beginning as a technician and eventually retiring as a district manager responsible for hundreds of employees. He later continued his career in sales with Comfort Masters, a local HVAC company in Omaha.

A devoted and supportive father, Bill’s greatest joy in life was his grandchildren. He loved attending their sporting events, concerts, and extracurricular activities, often beaming with pride as he talked about “the kiddos.”

Bill had a deep love for the outdoors, especially fishing. His happy place was on a lake with a line in his hand. It was widely known that he was a better fisherman than his son Billy. Many family summer vacations were spent camping and fishing together. Bill also enjoyed using his custom-built brick smoker to prepare meats for family, friends, and neighbors. He was proud to keep Polish traditions alive, including smoking Polish sausage and making kolaches and pierogis, and he especially loved watching the next generation carry on those traditions.

A handyman in every sense of the word, Bill could tackle just about any project. From landscaping to electrical work and everything in between, he approached each task with skill and confidence. He was always willing to share his expertise and time, spending countless weekends and evenings helping loved ones complete home improvement projects.

Bill’s legacy lives on through the family he loved so deeply and the countless lives he touched with his generosity, kindness, and willingness to help. His love and influence will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew him, leaving behind a heartbroken community with endless amazing stories.
