Sheila Patrylak

Sheila Ann Patrylak (nee Stecher) was born in Fremont, Nebraska to Denny and Orletha Stecher on November 18, 1948. Sheila died Friday, December 17, 2021 at Methodist Hospital in Omaha.

Sheila was raised in Hooper and graduated from Hooper High School in 1966. She graduated from Wayne State College in 1970 and began her teaching career at Fort Crook Elementary School in Bellevue, Nebraska. She then taught at Oakdale Early Childhood in Omaha until her retirement in 2003.

Sheila was united in marriage to Joseph Patrylak on August 7, 1971. They were parents to two daughters; Melissa (Adam) Drees and Jessica (Chris) Richter, all of Omaha.

Sheila was preceded in death by her husband, parents, father-in-law and mother-in-law Walter and Julia Patrylak, and brothers-in-law Steve Patrylak and Tom Schrader.

She is survived by her daughters and their husbands, brother Joe (Sally) Stecher of Harrison, Nebraska; sisters Mary Schrader of Neligh, Nebraska, Denise (Dan) Lilly of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Carrie (Bob) Reynolds of Hooper, Nebraska, and several nieces and nephews.
