Sandra K. Jenkins

Sandra K. Jenkins (Metz) passed away peacefully, at the age of 66, on March 23, 2026. Sandra was born on January 10th, 1960, in Saginaw MI. In June of 1978, she married the love of her life, Kenneth. Together, they built a wonderful life, in Omaha, NE. After eight years apart, she is finally reunited with him.

Sandra will be remembered with love, by her family and friends.

During her time on earth, she lived a life full of adventure. She enjoyed roadtrips and visiting new breweries and restaurants, in different cities. She loved motorcycle rides and traveling with her husband Ken and their friends. She especially enjoyed traveling to Tennessee and spending time with her Aunt Linda. Sandy’s recent travels took her to places like Charleston, Savannah, the Smoky Mountains, Cancun, Chichen Itza, Tulum, and Xcaret, Mexico. In one memorable vacation, Sandy jumped off of two cenote cliffs, zip-lined, and repelled 75 feet into an underground cenote. Alzheimer’s may have slowed her down a little bit, but it did not stop her from living her life to the fullest, for many years.

Sandra is survived by her son Kenneth W. Jenkins; daughter Christine Jenkins; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; brothers Ronald (Colleen) Metz; Robert Metz; Richard (Colleen) Metz; aunt Linda Lee Metz; nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband Kenneth D. Jenkins; her father Hank Metz; her mother Fern Metz; her nephew Jason Metz; her mother-in-law Shirley Jenkins; and father-in-law Donald Jenkins.

A Celebration of Life will be planned by the family at a later date.
