Ruth Burnham

Ruth Ann Burnham was born on July 24,1943, in Nebraska City, Nebraska, to Carlton and Marjorie Keyser. The first of two children, she grew up in Nebraska City and attended school there as well as in Sidney, Iowa, graduating in 1961.

Ruth married Tom Burnham on September 29, 1962. Together they built a loving life and raised two daughters, Lisa and Staci. Ruth and Tom shared 57 years of marriage until his passing in 2019.

Before marrying Tom, Ruth worked for the phone company in Nebraska City. She later continued her career with Millard Public Schools, where she worked until her retirement in the early 2000s.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Tom; her parents, Carlton and Marjorie; her stepfather, Mel Peterson; and her brother, Terry.

She is survived by her daughters Lisa Burnham and Staci (Dave) Cutcher; grandchildren Mitchell, Madison, and Makenzie Cutcher; aunts Vada Niccoli and Barb Cullin; nieces Kelly (Kenny) Calkins and Becky (Troy) Marth; along with many other nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
