Roger "Pete" P. Sorlie

Roger P. Sorlie (Pete)

U.S. Air Force veteran. Born 3/18/1934 and passed away on 8/7/2026 at the age of 92. Born in the small town of Churchs Ferry, North Dakota. Pete served in the Air Force from 1952 to 1972. He served in Korea and Vietnam.

After his service, he built a career at Creighton University for 25 years.

He will be remembered for his love of Jesus and his family. Pete enjoyed traveling, golf, woodworking and gardening.

He leaves behind his sweetheart of 58 years, Rosemary.

Children: Linda Bouska (Dan), Patti Johnston (Harry), David Burns (Karen), Karan Stuart (Ken), Vicki Hough (Tom).

Grandchildren: Chris Johnston, Kenneth Johnston(Jessica), Amanda Oltmann(Travis), Danny Bouska(deceased), Andy Bouska(Emily), Jenny Sinnott(Nick), Wil Stuart(Kelcey), Philip Stuart(Halee), Maggie Liberto(Nathan), Brian Hawkins(Angie), Philip Hawkins(Kim Farless), Megan Warner(Reid).

Great-grandchildren: Charley, Colin, Nora, Kaitlyn(Nate), Emma, Annsley, Alison, Corbin, Wilks, Caroline, Elizabeth, Reid, Audrey, Jon, Thomas, Lily and Isaac.

Gathering of Family and Friends to take place Monday August 24, 2026 from 10:00am to 11:30am at Bethany Funeral Home 8201 Harrison St. LaVista, NE 68128.

Burial at Omaha National Cemetery at 12:30pm 14250 Schram Rd. Omaha, NE 68138.

Luncheon to follow at Sinnott’s Sand Bar 206 E. Lincoln St. Papillion, NE 68046.
