Robert M. Sledge

Bob Sledge 80, passed away peacefully at Josie Harper Hospice House in Omaha, NE. On Oct. 26, 2022, after a long battle with cancer, heart disease & emphysema. Bob was born & lived all his life in Omaha attending Cathedral Catholic Grade School & High School. He enjoyed watching all sports & was a loyal Husker fan. Bob was a lifelong salesman & loved his work.

He was the fifth child of T. Edward & Lucille K. [Freyer] Sledge. He is preceded in death by his sister & brother-in-law, Lois C. Kizer [Bill]; brothers & sisters-in-law, Thomas J. Sledge [Brigitte], Edward F. Sledge [Janet M.]; sister-in-law Rosemary Sledge & too many friends.

Bob is survived by his wife of 30 years, Colleen L. [Donlan] Sledge; & children; Amy Ramsey [Mark], Robert J. Sledge [Lyn] of Omaha & Daniel M. Sledge [Jen] of Florida; stepchildren; Chris C. Donlan [Kym] of Omaha & Meredith L. Haney [Pat] of Washington; sister Kay Graves [Bill]; brother James P. Sledge; eight grandchildren & three step-grandchildren. Many loving nieces & nephews.

Memorial Mass will be on Thursday, November 3, 2022 at St. Margaret Mary’s Catholic Church at 6116 Dodge St. in Omaha. A Rosary will be said at 10:15 followed by the Mass at 11:00. In lieu of flowers, Bob requested Masses be offered for the repose of his soul or donations be made in support of Eternal World Television Network [EWTN.com.]
