Rita Claire Bosanek

Rita passed away peacefully on Saturday May 10th, 2025 in the morning in Omaha, Nebraska.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Mary Bosanek; sisters, Anna Marie Boukal, Patricia "Patty" Bosanek; brother, Francis "Tootie" Bosanek & sister-in-law, Patricia "Patsy" Hassett-Bosanek; nephew, Richard "Dickie" Bosanek. She is survived by nephews, Jerry (Kathy) Boukal and Gary Bosanek; great nieces/nephew Hailey Boukal, Tessa Boukal-Nieves (Christopher), Steven Boukal.

Rita was born in Omaha to Frank & Mary Bosanek, the second youngest child of the family. She grew up in South Omaha and attended Mercy High School. After school, she worked various jobs, but spent most of her working life at Mutual of Omaha. After Rita retired from Mutual, she continued to work & volunteer at her parish, St. Bernadette.

Rita was a lover of animals and gardening. Over her lifetime, she adopted many pets and donated both her time, talents and treasure to pet rescues and other philanthropic causes.
