Paula Kay (Krajicek) Whitney was born August 1, 1956 to Edward and Edwina (Hazuka) Krajicek. She passed away on August 5, 2025 in Omaha, NE. Paula grew up on a farm south of Papillion, NE. She attended Sacred Heart School in Papillion and graduated from Platteview High School in Springfield, NE. in 1974. Paula earned a Bachelors Degree in Business from Wayne State College in 1981.
Paula married Earl Whitney on June 3, 2006 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Springfield, NE. They lived on the Whitney family farm all of those years.
Paula worked in the District Court office of the Sarpy County Courthouse in Papillion for 39 years. She was appointed Chief Deputy Clerk of the District Court and held that position for 14 years until she retired in 2017. Most of her life, Paula also worked a second job.
Paula's passion was always animals and she enjoyed her pets, Belle, Chance and Boo. She loved the country life on their farm caring for her flowers and trees. They planted several variety of trees along their driveway over the years. Paula was an avid antique collector, refinished furniture and did needlework and quilting. She loved music, singing and dancing.
Paula was preceded in death by parents, Edward and Edwina Krajicek; stepfather, Art Ulrich; brother, James Krajicek; mother and father-in-law, Martha and Norman Whitney; brothers-in-law, Forrest Daniels, Sonny Hibbeler, Paul Clemenger and Dean Hibbeler; sisters-in-law, Nancy Hibbeler and Jenine Hibbeler.
Paula is survived by her husband, Earl; brothers, Steve (Diane) Krajicek and Robert "Gus" (Debra) Krajicek; sisters, Barbara (Dennis) Kreifels, Jerrine Krajicek, Julie Mitchel and sister-in-law, Theresa Krajicek. Sisters-in-law, Linda Daniels, Alice Clemenger, Polly Foster and Ruth Alise; brothers-in-law, Carl Hibbeler, Vern Foster and Mark Alise; uncle, John Hazuka; aunts, Joyce Hazuka and Roxanne Hazuka with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
