Paul R. Hagen, 71, of Omaha, NE, passed on Saturday, April 18, 2026, with his wife, Beverly, by his side.
Paul was preceded in death by Richard Hagen (father), Teddy Hagen (mother), and John Hagen (brother).
Paul is survived by Beverly Hagen (spouse), Kristie Hagen (daughter), Kevin Hagen (son), Kevin Lesser (son-in-law), Nathan Trumbull (stepson), Tom Hagen (brother), and Vickie Jorgensen (mother of children).
Paul had a long battle with cancer, but a lifetime full of laughs and adventures. It all started in Fargo, ND, where he could be found playing hockey and disassembling Volkswagen Beetles in his parents' driveway, just so he could put them back together again. That spirit of curiosity and adventure carried him through life on the road in his late teens and early twenties.
In 1979, Paul married his first wife and lifelong friend, Vickie, and together they raised two children. In 2012, Paul married Beverly, and the two continued the party, traveling, camping, and living life to the fullest with their loving dog, Danni.
Paul earned his degree in Structural Engineering from the University of Nebraska – Omaha and went to work for an engineering firm, where he had the opportunity to contribute to the construction of buildings worldwide. He later opened his own company, Connection Specialties, built around his patented steel insert design. If you look closely, you can still see them inside Memorial Stadium.
Somewhere out there, Paul has found the perfect spot by the water, feet up, drink in the grass, and guitar in hand. We love you, and you are truly missed.
Celebration of Life Service to take place at a later date.
Memorials may be directed to the Hagen family.
