Mary Lou Townley

Mary Lou (Wisniski) Townley, a proud Polish daughter who called South Omaha home her entire life, was born on January 2, 1952, and passed away on July 10, 2026.

She was preceded in death by her loving parents, John and Helen Wisniski, and her big brother, John Wisiniski, Jr., along with in-laws Bill and Dorothy Townley.

Lou (as she was also known by those who loved her most) is survived by her daughters Wendy (Matt) and Katie, and her sister, Lorraine (Mark).

A lengthy legacy of additional family remains, including her former husband Dave (Pat), along with in-laws – Merv and Diann Vannier and Nita Wisniski – and beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, neighbors, and friends far too numerous to list.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Holy Ghost Catholic Church or Nebraska Public Media. She was equal parts devout Catholic and PBS viewer.
