Margaret Ann Hermanson

Margaret Hermanson 92, of Omaha passed away May 24, 2025. She was born to Anna and Carl Steiner in Monticello IA on December 6, 1932. She is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Floyd, her parents, 4 brothers and 1 sister. She leaves behind her daughter, Sheryl Elliott, and sons Gordon Hermanson of Omaha and David Hermanson (Brenda) of Overland Park KS. Grandchildren Meghan McCollester (Chad), Ben Elliott, Sam Elliott, Tracy Hermanson, Mick Hermanson, Tyler Hermanson (Lindsey), Alex Hermanson (Lexi) and Shane Hermanson. Great grandchildren include Grant and Blake McCollester, Haley Hermanson, Elise Hermanson, Henry Hermanson and Riley Hermanson. Numerous other nieces and nephews as well..

Margaret was such a sweet and loving presence. She was always smiling. She loved to play cards, go to church and spend time with family.

She especially loved the Huskers. Most recently, she became a big Volleyball fan, but also remained a fan of the Football Team, never missing a game.

The rivalry with her Iowa Hawkeye relatives was always so fun for her.

Margaret volunteered as a Poll Worker for over 40 years and was an AVON Representative for 50 years. She stuck to her commitments.

She was a Charter Member of Faith Church and was an active member.

She moved with Floyd to Millard from Duluth when he was transferred there and lived in the same home for 60 years. Her neighbors were also her friends.

In Lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in her name to Faith United Presbyterian Church or the Nebraska Humane Society. 

The Hermanson family would also like to extend their thanks to all the staff at Richmont Assisted Living of Bellevue and Endless Journey Hospice for all their care during Margaret's final days.
