age 75, of Papillion, Nebraska. Preceded in death by his father Lawrence Spirk Birkel and his mother Kathryn Louise (Boone), who adopted Larry when he was 10years old. Larry married Maureen Krebsbach April 29, 1961. They had two children, Brenda and Brian. Larry was in construction all his life and because of limited work in Shelby, Nebraska, he moved to Omaha in 1972. He was a framing sub-contractor until 1978 at which time he went to work for Construction Science Inc. He left CSI in 1995 at which time he started his own building company Galaxy Homes. Survived by his wife Maureen; daughter Brenda Savage (Jeff) of Tulsa, OK, grandchildren Josh, Justin, and Samantha; son Brian (Melissa) of Omaha, grandchildren Alexis (Andrew) and Haley; great grandchild Mali. Visitation Thursday, January 5th, 6:008:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral Service Friday, January 6th, 10:00 a.m. at St. Paul United Methodist Church (324 S JacksonPapillion). Interment Cedar Dale Cemetery. Luncheon to follow at the church. Larry wishes no flowers,but requested that all memorials be directed to the Josie Harper Hospice House (7415 Cedar St.- Omaha, NE 68124).
