Julie Anne Jeffrey, 68 of Omaha, NE passed away peacefully November 7, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Julie was preceded in death by her parents, John and Anne Krystyniak and brother John Krystyniak. Julie is survived by her husband Scott; daughters Kristine (Danny) Whited, Staci Jeffrey; granddaughter Sydney Whited; sister Lory Prusha; cousins, nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Julie was born July 27, 1957, to John and Anne Krystyniak in Omaha, NE. Julie had two older siblings, John and Lory. In her early years, Julie attended Holy Ghost Catholic Grade School and later graduated from Bryan Sr. High School where she joined ROTC and received many awards & medals for her sharp shooting.

Julie met Scott at the Joker bar in Council Bluffs, where she asked him to dance and they ended up dancing the night away. They were married at Holy Ghost Catholic Church on September 3, 1977. Julie gave birth to 2 beautiful daughters: Kristine, in June of 79’ and Staci in April of 83’. In September of 01’, Julie was blessed with a Granddaughter, Sydney, who she loved to cook with. In February of 08’, Kristine and Danny were married and she gained a “son”.

Julie worked at the Post Office for 38 years, during that time she had a strong work ethic and received many professional accomplishments. She traveled frequently for work and leisure which allowed her to build global connections and highlight her passion for beautiful scenery and new food experiences. She was able to visit some of the most beautiful places. Her most favorites being: NY visits with her sister Lory and extended family, and Vacationing with her family and close friends in Canada, where she showed everyone up when it came to catching Walleye. Julie was an avid collector of dolls and enjoyed fishing, planting flowers, crafts, musicals, and most of all cooking. Julie had a huge love for all dogs, her most favorite being an American Cocker Spaniel.

Julie enjoyed many activities, in addition to coaching to her daughter’s volleyball teams with Scott, she also went to the shooting range, played sand volleyball, and never missed an opportunity to lay in the sun at the Beach. As she grew older, she enjoyed going to concerts and Broadway Musicals at the Orpheum. She was a sports enthusiast and her, Scott and the girls attended numerous CWS and Husker games throughout the years. Julie’s gift giving skills were unmatched; she was generous, thoughtful, and empathetic, she loved seeing the joy her gifts would bring to others. She was an AMAZING cook and always made sure no one would go hungry. She also enjoyed baking, especially around the holidays, and was known for her chili, cheesy green beans, kolache’s, and sauerkraut with dumplings & pork featherbones or sausage.

Julie will be deeply missed by her family, friends and all who knew her.

Visitation will be on November 21, 2025, from 9:30AM-11:00AM

at Bethany Funeral Home, 8201 Harrison St. LaVista, NE.

A Celebration of Life Service will follow the visitation at 11:00AM.
