John A. Wrede, 86, passed away on February 20, 2026. A proud veteran of the United States Air Force, John served as an Airman Second Class and was honorably discharged on July 16, 1965.

Following his military service, John dedicated 36 years of faithful service to the United States Postal Service, retiring in October 1999. He was known for his strong work ethic, and commitment to both his country and his community.

John was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Esther Wrede. He is survived by his daughters, Jacqueline (Mark) Maul and Julie (John) Bayne; and his cherished grandchildren, Jared Maul, Mariah Maul, and Taylor Bayne.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, March 9, 2026, at Bethany Funeral Home, with a Rosary beginning at 6:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at Mary Our Queen Catholic Church.
