Joann Marie Burbach, a pharmacist and life-long resident of Papillion, NE, died on October 9, 2025, at the age of 58 from complications of liver disease.

Joann is survived by her son, Brandon Burbach; her brother, John Burbach (Dusty); her sister Jackie McGill (Kerry Christensen); her nephew Grant Burbach (Giselle Miranda); and her niece Gabrielle Burbach. She was preceded in death by her father, Arthur Burbach, and her mother, Joyce Burbach.

Joann was born in Omaha, NE, on August 8th, 1967. She graduated from high school from Daniel J. Gross. She earned her undergraduate degree in chemistry from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln; she pursued further education at Creighton University's School of Pharmacy, where she earned her Master’s in Pharmacy. She then went on to practice community pharmacy at Walgreens locations throughout the Omaha and Council Bluffs areas for more than 30 years. She continually furthered her education by pursuing advanced certifications and providing diabetes counseling within the community.

Joann was a devoted mom to her son and pets. She enjoyed traveling to Estes Park, Colorado, and exploring the mountains and wildlife. She is the definition of what a true divine feminine is: someone who cares more about others than herself. She will be missed wholeheartedly by her son, family, and all who she met in this life that she called friends.
