James Harold Reed

James Harold Reed, 68, of Papillion, Nebraska, passed away peacefully on June 15, 2026, at the Josie Harper Hospice House.

Jim was born on June 5, 1958, in Corinth, Mississippi, to John and Marie Reed. He lived a life marked by hard work, laughter, and a passion for the things he loved most.

Jim had a talent for working on anything with a motor and especially enjoyed cars. He cherished his years riding motorcycles and spending time on the golf course. Above all, he had a remarkable gift for making people laugh and bringing joy to those around him. His sense of humor, generous spirit, and easygoing nature will be remembered by all who knew him.

Jim is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Daphne Reed; his sister, Donna Smith; his brother, Joe Reed (Cyndi), and many cherished nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Marie Reed.

The family gratefully welcomes memorial donations in Jim's memory to Make-A-Wish Nebraska. wish.org/nebraska/donate
