Daryl Lee Buckman

Daryl was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Reva Buckman. He leaves behind his wife, Linda, stepchildren Rachel and Ryan Willis; grandchildren Alexis, Rylie and Logan Willis; brother Bill and sister-in-law Janet Buckman (Branson, MO); and his sister Becky Buckman (Atlantic, IA).

A graduate of Griswold High School, Daryl went on to attend Iowa Western College. He built a career at Nebraska Machinery that spanned more than 40 years, starting as a Welder and later stepping into a leadership role managing the Welding and Paint shop — a testament to his hard work and dedication. He retired in March 2017, closing a remarkable chapter of his life.

Daryl had a deep love for the outdoors and for adventure. Whether he was snowboarding down a mountain or tearing across trails on his four-wheeler, he was happiest outside. In retirement, that love only grew — he cherished quiet nights camping under the stars and treasured his yearly motorcycle trips with his brother Bill, memories that will stay with his family forever.

The family will announce the date and time of a Celebration of Life to honor Daryl's memory.
