Darletta Ann (Herr) Willie

Darletta was born in Butler, South Dakota on December 30, 1935 and passed away at the Josie Harper Hospice House in Omaha, Nebraska on May 21, 2025, surrounded by her family. 

She was a resident of Ralston, Nebraska from 1968 until her death. She was preceded in death by an infant son, Steven Robert, spouse Robert J. Willie of 64 years, parents; Otto and Mabel (Solberg) Herr, sister; Lillian, brothers; Raymond, Kenneth, Calvin and Vernon. She is survived by daughters; Lori (Larry) Hansen, Cindy (Ken) Jarrett, and son Timothy (Jodi) Willie, grandson; Ryan (Terra) Donelson, granddaughters; Staci (Mike) Clawson, Katie (Neil) Flynn and Kelsey Jarrett, Great granddaughters; Emma and Grace Clawson. Darletta graduated from Bristol High School in SD where she was a cheerleader for all four years. She took pride in her penmanship and won many awards for it all through her school years. Darletta and Bob were married in the Methodist Church in Webster, SD in 1955. They also lived in Minneapolis Minnesota, Lawton Oklahoma and Mannheim Germany. They loved to travel during their marriage. She retired from Lucent Technologies (aka Western Electric and AT&T). Darletta loved her family and friends, she was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, Great grandmother, aunt and friend. A private burial will take place at a later date, at the same time as her husband’s burial at the Omaha National Cemetery.
