Daniel Gene Mcshannon
It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Daniel Gene McShannon.
Daniel, age 64, passed away on July25, 2024, surrounded by loving family and friends. He was born December 20, 1959, in Omaha, Nebraska to parents Yvonne Price and Gene McShannon.
After graduating from Omaha South High School in 1978, Daniel moved to Alliance, Nebraska with then wife Penny to work for the BNSF Railroad and start their family. Dan was a loving son, an amazing friend, the funny uncle, and the best dad, and papa.
Daniel was preceded in death by his mother Yvonne and son Matthew.
He is survived by his father Gene (Cheryl); his brothers Jeff and Tim; his children Michael (Shayla), Michelle, Megan, and Danny; his grandchildren Alexis, Chloe, Mason, Arabella, Killian, and Emmett.
Dan was a caring man of immense humor showing strength, cracking jokes, and cherishing every moment spent with loved ones.
