Cheryl L. Yarpe

Cheryl Lynette Yarpe, 72, of Omaha, Nebraska, passed away peacefully on December 10, 2025.

Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents, John Becker and Marialice Becker-Keller; her husband of 41 years, Tom Yarpe, who passed away five years ago; her grandson, Vincent Yarpe; and her brothers, Mark Becker and Jack Becker.

She is survived by her daughter, Nicole Becker-Dunn; her sons, Christopher (Sarah) Yarpe and Travis (Jillian) Yarpe; her brother, Gregg (Dee) Becker; her sisters, Marilyn Onnen and Cynde (Kent) Glasgow; along with 12 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

Cheryl worked for many years at Walgreens, where she formed lasting friendships with both coworkers and customers. After retiring, her greatest joy came from spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was the kind of grandmother who believed messes meant memories — whether indoors or outdoors. Getting dirty was never a problem if it meant the kids were having fun. Laughter was what mattered most.

She loved being outdoors, especially gardening, and her yard overflowed with flowers. There was often a child by her side as she shared her love of nature and taught them the simple wonders of the world around them. She also loved to sew and was rarely without a project in progress, creating with the same patience and care she showed to the people she loved.

Cheryl will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.

Small family gathering will be held the same date at a time to be announced.
