Charles Rienhart Grothe

Charles R. Grothe, May 21, 1940 - January 15, 2026

Chuck passed away at his home surrounded by his family and in the arms of his wife, Fran. Chuck was born in Omaha, NE to Rienhart and Agnes Grothe, grew up in South Omaha and graduated from South High School.

Chuck worked many places, but finally landed, for over 30 years, at Building 304 Offutt AFB, where he trained and mentored many GI's. There was never a stranger to Chuck. He enjoyed 'shooting the bull', a home cooked meal, vintage cars & hot rods, good rock and roll music, and most of all, his family.

Chuck is survived by his loving wife Fran, for over 66 years, daughters, LeeAnn (Dave), Vicki (Terry) and son Chet (Marie), 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
