Carl Jespersen, 70, of Omaha, Nebraska, passed away on December 19, 2025, in his hometown. Born on May 12, 1955, in Omaha, Carl lived a life filled with passion for family, adventure, and the things he loved most.
Carl graduated from Elkhorn High School in Elkhorn, Nebraska, before earning an associate's degree in automotive technology from Southeast Community College in Milford. His education laid the foundation for a life marked by curiosity and dedication.
A devoted brother and uncle, Carl is survived by his brother Kevin Jespersen and sister-in-law Debbie Jespersen; his sister Michelle Jespersen and brother-in-law John Gloden; brother-in-law Tim Langston, his niece Mel; and his nephew Milo. He was predeceased by his parents, Don and Jan Jespersen. Carl also shared a special bond with his beloved cats, Sunshine and Midnight.
Carl’s love for the Green Bay Packers was legendary within his family. He cherished watching games with Kevin and Michelle at his house—whether celebrating Super Bowl victories or enduring less successful seasons. These gatherings were a source of joy and connection that made football season a highlight of the year.
An enthusiast of fast cars, dirt bikes and Rock music, Carl’s adventurous spirit was evident in every aspect of his life. He owned a drag car, a Ford Capri and had a project car, a 1966 Ford Fairlane he dreamed of working on. Well into his late 60s, Carl could be found riding dirt bikes at Nebraska National Forest. These trips were more than just outdoor adventures—they were opportunities to camp under incredible stars, gather around campfires, and create lasting memories with loved ones.
Michelle fondly recalls these times as some of the best they shared together: “Carl was the best brother a person could have. He was opinionated and sometimes spicy but always caring and kind. I will always remember football games and camping trips as the best of times—the times we shared together. When we took off on ATVs while they rode dirt bikes, Carl would say we would blaze a trail to glory—and we did.”
Carl’s generosity extended beyond family to friends as well. He was known for helping others countless times throughout his life—a testament to his kind heart and unwavering support for those around him.
As those who knew him reflect on Carl’s life, they are reminded of the joy he brought through shared passions and unforgettable moments. May his memory inspire others to embrace adventure, cherish loved ones, and “blaze a trail to glory” in their own lives.
