Barbara Jean (Rosinski) Lacoma

April 12, 1942 - January 2, 2026

Barbara grew up the oldest daughter of Adam and Elizabeth Rosinski. Capable and responsible even as a teenager, she took up the care of her father’s household upon the unexpected passing of her mother. She married Lawrence John Lacoma, Jr. on November 6th, 1965. Together they welcomed three children and seven grandchildren, traveling to places like Okinawa, Japan and Costa Rica to spend time with them.

Barbara’s kind heart and attention to detail made the people around her feel cherished. She filled countless cards with beautiful handwriting to send love and gratitude. Her excellent cooking and hospitality gathered people around the table for holidays and visits. From garden tomatoes to apple pies, she took joy in sharing her goodness with others.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents Adam and Elizabeth Rosinski; sister Sharon (Rosinski) Cawthon; and daughter Lynn Lacoma-Turner.

She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years Larry J. Lacoma, Jr.; children Larry J. (Joanie) Lacoma, III and Kristine (Matt) Gnuse; Son-in-law Gordon Turner, grandchildren Adam (Hannah) Emond, Nathan Emond, Josh Lacoma, Cameron Lacoma, Eliana Gnuse, Elijah Gnuse, and Ezekiel Gnuse; brother Robert (Julie) Rosinski; and many dear family and friends.

Visitation to take place on Monday, January 12, 2026 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Bethany Funeral Home with a Rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m.

Mass of Christian Burial to be held on Tuesday, January 13, 2026 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Ghost Catholic Church at 5219 S. 53rd. St., Omaha, NE 68117.
